| Dear Friends, Next week, the Italian Cultural Institute of New York will present two special evenings celebrating the vitality of contemporary Italian culture through literature and music. On the literary side, on Thursday, May 21, at 6:00 PM, we are honored to welcome best-selling author and leading Italian journalist Aldo Cazzullo for a conversation with me on his acclaimed book The God of Our Fathers (RSVP). More than a reflection on religion, the book explores the Bible as the great narrative foundation of Western civilization — a timeless collection of stories that continues to shape our culture, language, and imagination. Through a captivating dialogue, Cazzullo and Pagliara will discuss why these ancient stories still speak powerfully to our present. Music will take center stage og Friday, May 22, at 6:00 PM, with Francesco Cavestri and his exciting project Jazz Meets Hip Hop, an innovative journey where jazz improvisation encounters contemporary rhythms and urban sounds. (RSVP) Blending tradition and experimentation, Cavestri represents one of the most original young voices on the Italian and international music scene today. Two evenings, two different artistic languages, one shared goal: to explore how culture continues to evolve while remaining deeply connected to memory, creativity, and identity.
